Increasing the number of home supporters

Postby Ipswich Shrews » Fri Sep 27, 2013 11:53 am

Well done on securing a record home attendance against Wolves last Saturday (21st Sept).

My question, of the extra number of Shrewsbury supporters who registered for the first time to get a ticket; what attempts will be made to encourage them to come along to another home game. Will you be making contact by email or phoning even just to engage their thoughts on their first visit and what the likelihood will be to come along to another game?

It would be great to see a positive impact with say another 500 supporters on the gate.

There are plans to utilise the ticket system to find those people and then contact them, it's a new feature to the system that we've not really utilised before but something that we are going to start looking at using a lot more.

Good to hear.

How about something like sending them a £5 voucher which can be redeemed if they purchase two match tickets before the end of the calendar year? So, in effect they get the second game for £5 less. That is encouraging them to come along at least twice more knowing they are getting a cheap second game and, who knows, it just may breed habit as by then they will have seen at least 3 games (including the Wolves match).

Or highlight the dynamic ticketing whereby they can get £5 off every game if booked in advance?

Do that as well Ian, but either way give them a £5 discount on top of whatever they pay (which will be based on when they get the tickets).

Just an idea, but dangle some sort of carrot to them
