Scoreboard

Great to see a new scoreboard will be arriving at the Meadow! What I would like to know is if there are plans to display the latest scores from other grounds on the new scoreboard? It can be hard to hear the scores over the tannoy at half time and flashing them up on the scoreboard would help a lot....

Maybe another idea worth exploring is if the club could offer a SMS service, where for a small fee (say £1 or £1.50 a text) people could send a text for their message to be flashed up on the scoreboard before games? (ie. personal messages, birthday messages and messages in support of the team etc)

good idea. Other Clubs do this and will insert a message in the programme if done early and space permits.

All those will be looked at, it will be a case of see how the system works when it's installed and then see what we can offer.

Nope, the orders going through, it does take a little while to do the prep work such as steelwork, cabling etc.

Struggled to hear the half time scores again yesterday over our consistently poor tannoy system, the sooner this new scoreboard arrives the better!

my god its six months now and still no new score board a bit of a farce and would not give me any confidence in employing the firm erecting it we built the new meadow in less time . will it be up for next season

There is a rumor that it was delivered and dropped and broke so we've got to wait for another to be made. Any comment from the club on this?
