Website Update

Postby SaintShrew » Sat Jul 31, 2010 1:24 am

I appreciate that everyone must be very busy but will the Club website be updated by the start of the season?

A quick look shows:

Team tab:
Team Homepage - still show last season's team picture and the 1st Team players list still show players who have departed - no new players listed.
Profiles - still show profiles for players who have left - no new profiles.
Reserve Fixtures - still show fixtures for last season.
Youth/COE - updated.
Management - still show "tbc".

Tickets tab:
Away Travel - the link to Official Supporters Club Times still show Season 2008/09 http://www.shrewsburytown.com/staticFiles/43/1c/0,,10443~138307,00.pdf

Club tab:
Who's who - Management Team still "tbc".

Not a problem, I tend to wait until the week before the start of the season to send in the majority of the changes.

Will chase up the Ticket Office for info for their section, and get them to review the info as it's not the clearest to read at times.

!st team - photocall isn't until Monday so will get photos updated after that.

Reserves - hmm, I put the fixtures up a while back, but looks like i put them in the wrong place :D

Cheers for highlighting those, will add to the todo list :)

These are some that still need updating:

the management positions is still TBC.

Holden is missing from profiles.
Goldson is missing from profiles.
Van Den Broek is still in twice.
Have we signed Wright or should that read on loan?

Ticket info is still out of date and/or confusing.

The club history page ends with us being relegated to the conference and a full update has been "coming soon" for three years now.

Is there not a supporter who knows about computers who could offer a bit of time to the club to put these right.

It's all on the to do list, profiles should be done by tomorrow, updated a few this morning but then had to get on with the programme.

Have asked the ticket office to review the ticket section as it doesn't make much sense and awaiting a decision on what they need updating.

All will get updated shortly, though it has made me smile at how much 'outcry' it's caused over the last month or so :D

thanks for the reply Ian.

I would hardly call 3 posters wanting their club's website to be updated an "outcry" though.

Hear! Hear! The website is after all the public window to the Club and an out-of-date Site creates a bad impression - will have to remember that when it comes time to complete the FA Survey 2011.
