totally agree Clive
anyone who read my posts last season will know that i felt there mistakes contributed to 70% of the goals town conceded poor Goldson would run himself in to the ground covering up tamikas mistakes.at least our new manger did not start the season with the worst centre backs town have ever had .
I hope this is not true but a friend who supports Walsall told me they are seriously interested in Goldson.

it feels as if things are moving in the right direction and we have the defence nearly sorted, so to my mind we need 2 goalkeepers, 3 mid fielders and 3 forwards.

disappointing news as we need players with his fighting spirit, will we get anything for him?

whilst Collins will bring a more physical presence to the front line.he only scored 6 goals out 36 games for his last team.

pleased to see Collins back it was reported on hibs website yesterday we offered 125000 pounds for him what with the payoffs for the two centre backs we must of spent over 200000 this week so far so expect we got a good bit for taylor .we still need at least two more forwards and a replacement winger and a play maker captain in midfield so a couple more to be sold I think with woods I expect next .bradshaw has been up here in Bradford talking to them so he must have plans on getting away I must say I wont be too disappointed .
it is nice to see players coming in for two or three year deals at least we will get to know the squad next season

Sorry to see Jon Taylor go, but pleased to see James Collins back - what a contrast to the last close season, this one is getting quite exciting, and a complete overhaul of the squad is going to make for a very interesting time next season. Looking forward to that. I saw the picture of Collins and Roland in the Shropshire Star and thought it must be fiction as there appear to be trophies in the cabinet behind Roland! :-)

Collins was a free transfer as they wanted to offload a number of players to reduce wages. I guess there might be a sell on clause when we took over his contract.

We must surely have made some good cash on Taylor and by the sounds of having several other managers phoning up mid meeting offering more wages, let's hope we got value in the sale.

the team is gradually taking shape and in comparison to last season we seem to be gaining momentum and so far we are signing players rather than loan players most seem to be coming in on a two year contract.
