Town have been drawn away to Oldham Athletic.

A team we've not played for a few years and not one of the stronger League 1 clubs, so definitely a chance to progress. A good draw for the North West based Town fans too. Also a chance for a few of the fringe Town players to get a game this month.

The full draw, matches to be played week beginning August 30th.

South West

Yeovil Town v Exeter City
Aldershot Town v Oxford United
Southampton v Swindon Town
Bournemouth v Torquay United

South East

Southend United v Gillingham
Charlton Athletic v Dagenham & Redbridge
Brighton v Leyton Orient
Stevenage v Brentford

North West

Oldham Athletic v TOWN
Macclesfield Town v Morecambe
Port Vale v Rochdale
Tranmere Rovers v Accrington Stanley

North East

Walsall v Chesterfield
Sheffield Wednesday v Notts County
Rotherham United v Lincoln City
Hartlepool United v Northampton Town

Yeovil v Exeter is an apt draw and sure to be an emotional night for both sets of fans.

Indeed, I've no excuse not to go to this one, given that boundary park is on my doorstep!

It's an interesting draw for Paul Gerrard too. I wonder which club's keepers he'll be working with on that day?
